Paul decided to make a sea change and career change after many years in other training and education fields. His training expertise included training young apprentices and organising training courses for up to 150 young apprentices at a time. Paul had been helping friends and family to learn to drive for many years.
Paul is the owner of Big Paul's Driving School based in the Great Lakes area. Paul has been a driving instructor for 3 years and has been a Safer Drivers Course car coach for Behind The Wheel since 2019.
Paul has a relaxed approach with students which assists him in building a rapport with a student very quickly. Paul has a fantastic manner and understanding of young drivers and is very knowledgeable of all things related to Learner driver training. Karen and Wayne from Behind The Wheel believe that Paul's relaxed demeanour and excellent understanding of students and how to teach students to be a safer driver makes him an excellent instructor, and this is why Behind The Wheel have engaged with Paul to coach the Safer Driver’s Course.
Currently, Paul works as a driving instructor in the Great Lakes area and also assists with the Behind The Wheel Safer Drivers Courses in the Great Lakes, Taree and Port Macquarie areas. Paul holds an unrestricted Drivers Instructors Licence (manual and automatic) and holds a Working With Children Certificate. Paul has also completed a Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Driver Training) and the Safer Drivers Course Training Course for Coaches.
