Teaching a teenager to drive can be one of the most stressful experiences a parent faces. Between navigating busy local roads, deciphering the rules and ensuring they are learning safe habits, it is easy to feel overwhelmed.
To help alleviate that pressure, Behind the Wheel founder Karen Foster has been invited by MidCoast Council to speak at their upcoming Supervisors of Learner Driver workshops in Taree and Tuncurry this March.
These free two-hour sessions are designed specifically to support parents and supervisors. Karen will be stepping out of the passenger seat to share practical, professional advice to make your supervising experience smoother and safer.
During the workshop, you will gain clarity on current laws for L and P licence holders, effective supervision techniques, completing the learner driver logbook correctly and the proven benefits of supervised on-road experience. Karen will also cover fundamental low-risk driving principles you can immediately pass on to your teenager.
Light refreshments will be provided by the Council on the night.
